🌿 For Houseplants
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible and review the care instructions included with your order. Water based on your plant’s needs, making sure not to overwater.
Houseplants may need a short adjustment period after arrival. Give your plant time to acclimate to its new space before placing it with other plants. You can gently clean the leaves if needed, and wait to fertilize until it has settled in. Always check soil moisture instead of watering on a fixed schedule.

The standout feature of the 'Selby' is its foliage texture and pattern. 
The flowers of the Homalomena are quite unique but subtle. It produces a spathe and spadix (similar to a Peace Lily or Philodendron), but they are often tucked away near the base of the stems. They aren't particularly showy, but they are a sign of a very happy, well-matured plant.
Low to Medium indirect light. Unlike many variegated plants, 'Selby' is famous for its ability to thrive in lower light conditions, though medium light will keep the "gold" markings more vivid. Avoid direct hot sun.
Moderate. They prefer to stay consistently moist but never soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. They are more "dramatic" than others and may wilt slightly to let you know they are thirsty.
Use a rich, well-draining potting mix. A blend of peat moss, perlite, and a bit of orchid bark is ideal to provide nutrients while preventing root rot.
60°F to 85°F (16°C - 29°C). Being a tropical plant, it loves warmth. Keep it away from AC vents or chilly windows during winter.
